Vinny Aliperti has worked in the New York State wine industry for almost 30 years. He's always
had an interest in environmental sustainability and community service. Working for many years
on local community boards and environmental committees, he established the non-profit FLX
Craft Beverage Environmental Coalition in 2023.
Jennifer Grant
Vice President
Jennifer Grant is a lifelong environmentalist. She spent most of her professional career as a
scientist and educator with the New York State (Cornell) Integrated Pest Management Program,
researching and teaching ways to reduce pesticide use in New York State. When she is not
biking or skiing, she enjoys serving on the ReUse Systems board, chairing the Town of Geneva
Sustainability Committee, helping to get the Geneva Greenway established, and serving on the
Bristol Mountain Ski Patrol.
Karen Miltner's professional background includes communications, journalism, food service and
tourism. She currently organizes bicycle tours throughout the United States. Living between
two of New York's largest landfills has cemented her resolve to reduce waste. She still wears
a ski jacket she bought in 7th grade with babysitting money.
Since the early 1980's Catherine (Kit) Fallon helped develop several regional arts
non-profits. She partnered for 20 years in a natural food manufacturing business and hobbied
as a Community Supported Agriculture farmer. As a Work and Life Skills instructor at Ontario
ARC, she designed and implemented teaching strategies for developmentally disabled adults. She
spent her retirement year in Rochester AmeriCorps. Her vocation as a performing fiddler and
music educator continues.
Jan Regan
Immediate Past President
A founder and first president of ReUse Systems, Inc., Jan Regan currently represents Geneva's
3rd and 4th Wards as an Ontario County Supervisor. She has served in leadership roles on
numerous non-profit boards, including the Smith Opera House, the Boys and Girls Club, Geneva
Community Projects and the original Musselman Triathlon. She served on City Council from
2020-2024. Regan continues her professional life as a photographer in commercial work, music
and portraiture.
Kathryn McCarty
Board Member
Kathryn S. McCarty returned home to the Finger Lakes region after spending most of her career
working for or on behalf of local governments in the Washington, D.C. area. Kathryn was the
Chief Administrative Officer for the Department of Environmental Services in Arlington County,
VA government until she retired. She also is a certified facilitator and mediator.
